Re-Gathering
Finding resilience & community in the meta-crisis
New 2025 dates:
6th - 9th June 2025, Campwell Woods, Bath, Somerset
26th - 28th September 2025, The Quadrangle, Kent
Concerned for our future?
Wondering if we’ve lost a sense of what really matters as a society?
Join us for an immersive exploration of what community means in the challenging times we live in.
The Invitation
We invite you to participate in a welcoming space of group learning. To gather in community to confront the complex issues or our time, to stop and reflect on how we may respond and contribute in our own lives and communities.
We re-gather because we once knew that being with others was vital for finding the strength and resilience we need when living through the uncertainty of a fast-changing world.
Together we will consider how we got here, what it means for us, our loved ones and the places and planet we care for.
This is not a place to 'retreat’ from life, but a chance to step more fully into it, with gratitude, awareness and deeper connection with each other and nature.
We’ll share creative activities and enlivening conversations, that open ourselves up to the potential of our shared gifts.
‘How might we prepare for a future we cannot know?
Our Predicament
Amongst the inspiring people and projects contributing towards a better future, much of what we take for granted is unravelling — from our politics to our climate, our collapsing biosphere, to our trust in each other or what’s true.
Maybe you’ve heard the term ‘meta-crisis’ for these interconnected crises, maybe you haven’t. Whatever words we use, if you have a deep sense we’re headed in the wrong direction as a society but that all around you aren’t facing up to these critical issues, it can feel lonely, frustrating and hopeless.
Whilst it isn’t always easy to voice that in the places we live and work, fact that these ‘difficult truths’ aren’t always welcomed, is precisely the reason it’s easy to ignore them.
Whether conscious of it or not, holding these concerns inside has compound effect on us — we need each other to process experiences and awaken ideas for taking action.
Having language to talk about our questions, to help each other find the words to describe these hard to grasp feelings is not only comforting but necessary.
Our apathy can put up a barrier to discovering our agency at the time it’s needed the most.
The Environment
We will work with the energies of the season to understand the relationship between our inner and outer worlds.
This is a place to come as you are - there are no expectations of ‘how to be’. There will be plenty of suggestions for practices and conversations, and also space for yourself to pause and reflect.
Although we’re informed by the latest research and experts, this isn’t a space of lectures or knowing the right answers. Multiple ideas that come alive when we’re together in places we feel safe to share.
This is a chance to spend with others asking similar questions in spacious natural surroundings, a space to ‘be differently’ together - to open our minds, hearts and bodies to the possibilities that lie ahead.
You’ll receive a selection of diverse resources to build a shared level of awareness and provoke informed reflection and conversation.
“We’re going to a different place, let’s go differently”
— Nora Bateson
The kinds of questions we’ll explore*
How does it feel to be living at this time?
How might we steady ourselves at this time of uncertainty?
What have we forgotten that might be helpful now?
How can being in community strengthen us?
What is mine to do in these times?

Facilitators
We are Katy & Juliet, friends and collaborators who care deeply about supporting others to learn, grow and adapt in our changing world.
We see our roles as hosts and guides for the weekend, not teachers or experts. We intend to create a space for easeful conversation and create an insight-rich environment where ‘in the moment’ learning is able to happen amongst the group.
We bring complimentary skills from combined decades of supporting individuals, organisations and community groups navigate emotional terrain to explore possibilities for the future.

I’m interested in what it means to re-discover community, as we ready ourselves for the complex challenges ahead. How do we hold eachother as we confront sorrow and potential of this time? How do we sow the seeds for a more connected, life-affirming future?
As a business psychologist I’m fascinated with how we evolve our culture and systems for a more joyful world. I bring expertise in learning and personal growth enabling people to become more aware of where they are now and the possibilities between them.
I bring 20+ years working in private and public sectors, for organisations large and small. Clients include M&S, PWC, University of Bath, Thatchers, many charities and smaller businesses.
As a certified Warm Data Host, I’m continuously discovering how a shift in our perception can ripple out to new possibilities.

After years working in the consumerist industry of advertising in London, leading brand campaigns for clients like Dove, Stella & Ford, I was drawn to the complete opposite life and worked in remote corners of the world for an outdoor adventure company. This is where I found my deep appreciation and concern for nature and the extractive relationship our western culture has with it.
Since then, I’ve trained in ideas and methodologies that help people connect to themselves, each other and nature, and be in closer contact with what they feel about their futures - and our collective future as a society. I believe that we protect what we love, and if we can recognise that we are not separate from nature, we’ll care more respectfully for it.
I now lead climate and leadership retreats for people in the creative industry, host climate conversations in my community and deliver learning programmes for organisations looking to have better conversations and listen with skill.
More recently through training in Forest Bathing and the 8 Shields, I’m increasingly interested in Japanese and indigenous cultures ways of living, and also deepening my understanding of Animism and Daoism.
Learning Together
We recognise the increased importance of learning socially and reciprocally together when we’re dealing with topics that are real, alive and new to us all.
When we’re navigating new territory there is no right or wrong — we’re all in service of each others learning and there is valuable cross-pollination from person to person. We’ll all learn from each other in ways we couldn’t anticipate.
This includes opening ourselves up to learning from the wisdom of nature and our environment too.
What might I leave with?
Though we’re careful not to assume any pre-determined outcomes - we aim to create a spacious and safe environment for personal shifts in perception, knowing and understanding which will be unique to each of you.
In our experience, you will leave feeling different than you arrived with increased capacities for navigating our complex world, such as;
Confidence in your ability to adapt and grow
A widened perspective on where we’re headed
An understanding of what resilience means to you and how to work with it
Awareness of the interconnection between seemingly disconnected issues
The capacity to see uncertainty as a path to potential
An informed ability to hold different emotions together at once
How do I know if this is for me?
This is a weekend for as wide a range of people as possible, everyone is welcome, you may like to come alone, or bring friends, family members, colleagues, or just anyone curious about this moment in time, and wanting to learn in group.
You might be:
— Aware there are many complicated issues facing us as a planet, and interested in how to navigate them
— Willing to turn towards some issues that don’t have tidy answers, or easy solutions
— Curious about what we could do if we came together in meaningful communities and collaborated more fully
— Wondering if there is something about the way we think, or disconnect from nature that could be at the root of things
